First Ever CTK Camping Trip

  • When: Saturday May 21-Sunday May22
  • Where: Greenfield State Park New Hampshire

There is a change in venue in order for us to have a nice large group campsite, so we will be camping at nearby Greenfield State Park (1 hour and 20 minutes from CTK).

There are a few options for setting up camp.  We will have one group meeting at nearby Monadnock State park at 10 AM for a 3-4 hour round trip hike to the top of Mt. Monadnock and then head to the campsite (about 35 minutes away) to arrive around 3PM.  If the hike is too much for you, or you plan to get a late start, you can just head to Greenfield anytime and set up camp.  If you are afraid of the camping experience but want to enjoy a beautiful hike in the NH mountains, please feel free to meet us at Monadnock for the hike only.

We will have kayaking available on the small lake on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.  There is also a large field for our use, so please bring lots of balls, Frisbees, camp chairs, corn hole sets, etc…

Lunch on Saturday will be on your own.  If you plan to hike at Monadnock please pack a picnic lunch to eat during the hike.  Details for Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast will be coming soon.  Lunch on Sunday is also on your own.

Please note--- If you plan to hike Monadnock there is an entry fee of $5 per adult and $2 for youth 6-11.  Kids under 5 are free.  There are no dogs allowed at Monadnock State Park. Pets are permitted at Greenfield State Park at the campground and on hiking trails, but not in the lake/pond or on the lake/pond beaches.

Our group campsite holds 40 people, so RSVP to stallgood@hotmail.com as soon as possible.

If you want to go, but don’t have tents or other gear please let Stephanie or Bryce know as there is plenty of gear to borrow.
