It's hard to point the finger inward and ask "Am I a thief? Do I take what is not mine?" We take because deep down we believe that we won't be provided for.
Adultery is not only a sin against the spouse and against God, it is also a sin against the family of God, the church community. Do you trust and believe that the God who raised Jesus from the dead can bring new life into your heart and marriage?
God commands us to honor our Father and Mother. Jesus says the church is our new family, and ultimately helps us to heal and bring love into our own family.
Why do we fight against the law of God? Why do we try to do just barely enough to stay within that law? Why do we not realize that God's law protects us from idol worship, sin and death?
God declares "You shall have no other gods before Me." Jesus later defines that law by saying "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul , mind and strength."
The law of God is the track on which your heart was meant to run. In following His law, we see part of who God is and why we are made in His image.
